[27 September, 2011] The fall semester begins next week. During the summer vacation period, four postgraduate students presented their papers at different conferences.
[18 August, 2011] We are pleased to inform that Dr. A.F.M. Saiful Amin from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, an alumnus of the SMDG, was promoted to full professor in May, 2011.
[22 May, 2011] Prof. Okui was awarded two JSCE awards (the Best Paper Award and the Tanaka Award) for his papers published in 2010.
[16 Mar, 2011] We extend our sincere sympathies to the people affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunami occurred in Tohoku and Kanto areas. The current group members and their family are safe as far as we understand so far. We thank many former group members and friends who kindly sent us encouraging messages.
Any form of support to the sufferers would be very much appreciated.
[01 Mar, 2011] Some of the group members visited the construction site of Tokyo Gate Bridge during the installation of the centre girder on 27 February.
[23 Feb, 2011] The oral examination for graduation was held for undergraduates on 23 and 24 February and postgraduates on 17 and 18.
